There’s nothing to make stealing an unlocked wheel quicker and easier than a conventional QR skewers as no tools are required.Hex Bolt skewers can slow a thief down, as they will need a conventional Allen key to release the wheel. However, the new Halo Security skewer adds an extra level of awkwardness for any thief looking to steel your unlocked wheel, as they will need an Allen key with a hole in the centre to accept the additional security pin.
